Barrio Chino
17 March 2022
I had never been to any type of China Town so when Isa invited me I was super excited to see what all the fuss was about.
We booked an Uber across the city from Palermo into Belgrano. Barrio Chino was developed in the 1980s by Chinese immigrants.
They regularly celbrate Chinese New Year and hold annual parades with dragon puppets and chariots. We were dropped off pretty
far away from the entrance and we made our way through a very nice, quaint park full of teenagers playing soccer (I mean futbol)
and people just enjoying the nice weather. We stopped and took this photo with our disposable camera and it is one of my favorites.
We walked into a lot of toy stores and knick knack stores just seeing what the vendors had. We eventually entered a Chinese supermarket
that sold the most mediocre fake Froot Loops you will ever taste in your life. However, this store had a lot of familiar items you would
see in an American supermarket as well...ISA ISA ISA
